Context
What they came to us with
A professional services firm was running an aging site that loaded slowly, particularly on mobile, and was losing visitors before they ever reached the content that would have converted them. The design had been patched incrementally over years rather than rebuilt, and the accumulated weight was showing up directly in bounce rate.
The firm's concern was a familiar one: a redesign that reset their existing search rankings would cost more than the slow site was costing them. That risk is procedural rather than inherent, and it's manageable if it's planned for from the start.
Approach
What we actually did
We rebuilt the front end on a modern component architecture with a mobile-first approach, treating Core Web Vitals as an engineering requirement from the first component rather than a post-launch optimization pass.
Because the rebuild touched URL structure, a complete redirect map and metadata migration were treated as launch-blocking requirements — not cleanup to handle afterward. Structured data was implemented as part of the build so the site's content was machine-parseable from day one.
The build then went through the same connected QA layer every engagement routes through before launch, so regressions were caught by automated tests rather than by visitors.
